One plus has recently launched its new mid-range segment smartphone Oneplus Nord 2 5G (successor to the Oneplus Nord) in India.
Nord 2 comes with huge upgrades and lots of improvement in all departments compared to its predecessor OnePlus Nord.

The Design is very standard and sharp looking especially the emblem ‘Blue color’ while a little bit of design resembles the Oneplus 9 series smartphone especially the rear camera bump module. Talking about its color availability, Its available in three color options: Blue Haze, Grey Sierra, and Green-Wood. All three colors look elegant but the Blue one looks more classy and elegant its totally depends on the individual’s preference.
One Plus Nord 2 has a big 6.43-inch fluid AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera aligned at the left corner of the phone. The phone weighs 189 grams and 8.2mm thick and has very thin bezels. The sidewalls probably look metallic but basically polycarbonate built, combined with the curved back edges which make the device easy and secure to hold for a longer duration. Despite having weighed 189g and polycarbonate back it doesn’t feel too bulky in fact feels premium in hand.
OnePlus Nord 2 comes with a glass back which really gives a premium look, the front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The Volume rockers button is aligned on the left and the power button on the right, the alert slider is positioned on the right side just above the power button which makes it very convenient to switch between ringer and silent modes easily. Fingerprints and dust particles don’t get attract easily while usage which is quite impressive.
If you are looking for a Headphone jack in this phone so unfortunately, you might be disappointed because the 3.5 mm audio jack is missing in this Nord 2. The Type C port, SIM tray is placed at the bottom and having a dual stereo speaker definitely boosts audio performance.

OnePlus has now changed the tradition by launching the Nord 2 having a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI Chipset instead of a regular Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This MT Dimensity chipset is octa-core consisting of one Ultra Arm Cortex-A78 clocked at 3.0 GHz, three Arm Cortex-A78 super cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, and four efficient Arm Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz.
This MediaTek Dimensity ‘AI’ chipset is unique from the Normal MTK Dimensity chipset because of its enhanced Machine learning capabilities for camera optimization and display performance so users get the best visual experience. The company has worked on this Dimensity AI chipset which is based on (5G Open Resource Architecture/ DORA). It is exclusive to OnePlus as of now and Nord 2 is the only phone that comes with this Customized processor.
Talking about the benchmark score of this chipset, on AnTuTu this Dimensity AI chipset is managed to score 5,42,748 points, it also achieved good points 819 and 2749 on Geekbench 5’s Single core and multi-core test respectively. It is also managed to achieve a good score of 74 fps and 34fps in GFXBench’s T-Rex and Car Chase scenes respectively, considering Graphics Benchmarks.
